Heartsaver CPR AED Online

Course Description & Target Audience

This Heartsaver CPR AED course is designed for students seeking an alternative (non-classroom/classroom) method for completing recertification/renewal/update. It provides training for CPR and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.


This option is for anyone with limited or no medical training who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting and needs a course completion card for personal/civic growth or to meet job, regulatory (state/OSHA) or other requirements. This selection is basic for any age or group setting, club, church, day care, camp counselor, lifeguard, industry etc.


This course is designed for Re-Certification/Renewal ONLY.

Instruction & Student Materials/Prices

$60.00 (plus service fee) for skills check off classroom portion with the American Heart Association instructor. Course completion card included, no manual required.

2. Call for your appointment for a mutually beneficial time for skills check off.

**The classroom appointment is an in person hands on skills check off with the American Heart Association Instructor.

After successfully completing the Heartsaver CPR AED course, students should be able to manage:

  • effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth (with a mask) or a pocket mask barrier device for all age groups
  • perform high-quality CPR for an adult alone or as a team member during multi-rescuer CPR
